Garden Party

An entry for Picture Hooks: From Seed to Table competition. I had no inspiration for self-initiated projects and felt like I needed a brief to create a new artwork, so the competition felt like a good chance to challenge my abilities.

I wanted to give a little more diversity in my characters, which drove me to draw this story of friendship between Salwa and Lucy). I had fun working on it, and wish I could explore more about these characters.
