A fan art of the novel The Girl and The Ghost by Hanna Alkaf, a Malaysian author.
I first fell in love with Hanna Alkaf’s work upon reading the webtoon adaptation of The Weight of Our Sky. I saw a lots of comments praising the creators' portrayal of OCD, and I began to admire her. When I saw one of her novels was available in a local (online) bookstore, I decided to purchase it, and totally loved it to the point that I feel the need to make an illustration out of it.
This is a scenes that I found the most memorable from the book, where The Ghost (in his grasshopper form) was watching Suraya, who was unusually sitting still.
